一向 (“all along”)
refers to a period of time from the past up to the present (always; consistently). “一向” means from the past until now and is used as an adverbial.
始终 (“always, from beginning to end”)
means from start to finish; “始终” is mostly used together with a negative form (始终 + 不/没(有) + V).
Comparing “始终” and “一直”: wherever “始终” can be used, “一直” can generally replace it. “一直” can take words that indicate time, while “始终” cannot. “一直” can refer to the future, while “始终” cannot.
