每当想起这件事,我都感到不好意思。

Měi dāng xiǎngqǐ zhè jiàn shì, wǒ dōu gǎndào bù hǎoyìsi.

Whenever I recall this, I feel embarrassed.

Explanation

每当……,都…… (“whenever… always…”)

the book only gives the structure “每当……,都……” with example sentences and no separate explanation.

不时 (“every now and then”)

means 时时,常常 (often, frequently); the book explains it as "from time to time, again and again".

往往 (“often, tend to”)

indicates a situation that often appears or frequently occurs.

Comparing “往往” and “常常”: “往往” is used to sum up a situation that has occurred up to now and has a certain regularity; it is not used to express a subjective wish. “常常” only indicates the repetition of an action, which is not necessarily regular, and can be used to express a subjective wish.

一次又一次 (“time after time”)

“一 + measure word + 又 + 一 + measure word”; when the measure word is a verbal measure word it indicates repetition many times, and when it is a noun measure word it indicates a large quantity.
