   V1verb 1+并(且)+V2verb 2

   “并” (also said “并且”) is used between two verbs or verb phrases, indicating that two actions happen at the same time or one after the other.

   • 负责人说马上派工人去修，并问了张太太家的住址。

     Fùzérén shuō mǎshàng pài gōngrén qù xiū, bìng wènle Zhāng tàitai jiā de zhùzhǐ.

     The person in charge said they would send a repairman right away, and also asked for Mrs. Zhang's home address.

   • 大会讨论并通过了秘书长的报告。

     Dàhuì tǎolùn bìng tōngguòle mìshūzhǎng de bàogào.

     The congress discussed and approved the secretary-general's report.

   • 我每天都去学书法并能坚持练习。

     Wǒ měitiān dōu qù xué shūfǎ bìng néng jiānchí liànxí.

     Every day I go to calligraphy classes and keep practicing steadily.

   A、B 以及 C

   “以及” links parallel nouns, verbs and clauses; mostly used in writing.

   • 玛丽、爱德华以及我们班的其他同学都参加了这次表演。

     Mǎlì, Àidéhuá yǐjí wǒmen bān de qítā tóngxué dōu cānjiāle zhè cì biǎoyǎn.

     Mary, Edward and the other classmates all took part in this performance.

   • 参加这次影展的有中外不少电影制片厂最新制作的故事片、动画片以及译制片。

     Cānjiā zhè cì yǐngzhǎn de yǒu zhōngwài bù shǎo diànyǐng zhìpiànchǎng zuì xīn zhìzuò de gùshipiàn, dònghuàpiàn yǐjí yìzhìpiàn.

     The film festival featured the latest feature films, animated films and dubbed films produced by many film studios at home and abroad.

   • 他把这里的生活、学习以及学校的情况都给我们做了介绍。

     Tā bǎ zhèlǐ de shēnghuó, xuéxí yǐjí xuéxiào de qíngkuàng dōu gěi wǒmen zuòle jièshào.

     He told us about life, study and the situation of the school here.

   • 情商包括如何控制情绪，如何培养主动做事的能力，以及如何建立良好的人际关系等。

     Qíngshāng bāokuò rúhé kòngzhì qíngxù, rúhé péiyǎng zhǔdòng zuòshì de nénglì, yǐjí rúhé jiànlì liánghǎo de rénjì guānxi děng.

     EQ includes how to control your emotions, how to cultivate the ability to take the initiative, and how to build good interpersonal relationships, and so on.
